Making Biscotti
Last year as part of our general guild meeting program we had a wonderful presenter via zoom by the name of Brandon Wulff. He demonstrated his technique of something called a ‘Biscotti’ quilt. The edible kind of biscotti is twice baked and sliced and that is what gave him the idea for the biscotti method.
Our very own Nancy R then had some ideas of her own and we had a wonderful workshop experience making our own biscotti projects. The range of colours and patterns among the participants was incredible. The fun part was playing with placement of the blocks. There was lots of standing back; WAAAY back to see how the arrangement of the blocks work or doesn’t work. We also used the black and white filter on our phones to assess the colour value distribution as well. It was truly fun and inspiring. Thanks Nancy!
P.S. Check out Brandon Wulff’s website to see the extraordinary quilts he has created.
