We Care Workshop Nov 2017 & April 2018

There was a fantastic turnout for the annual We Care sewing day.  The committee did an amazing job at organizing the day for the sewing ladies.  By the end of the day many had their tops all sewn together, many had their fused layers completed ready for quilting and at least one fully completed her project (binding included).

Finished quilts were 7 blocks by 9 blocks = 38.5” x 49.5” or 7 blocks by 11 blocks  = 38.5” x 60.5”.

Tons of 6" stash fabrics were collected into kits.  If you did not attend the day and would like a kit to sew at home please contact a We Care committee member.

Held on Saturday November 4th at Sardis Library from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Saturday April 14, 2018

Our more recent We Care sewing day was very well attended once again, thanks ladies. The committee was well prepared with kits for sewing, a fusing/layering station set up and a ton of wonderful munchies to keep our energy up.  Janet is now two for two as she finished her project all in one day complete with binding and label (she did this at the last event also).  Check out the picture of the great tool totes that Hannah and Ineke have, maybe we should have a workshop to all make one!
