Quilt Show Challenge

We hope you will want to participate in this fun project for the quilt show.  Here are the details provided by Karri who is organizing this event. All projects registered and handed in will be on display at the show.

Guild Challenge 2024 – 'Anything Goes'

The Challenge:

  • Purchase a fat quarter from the Guild for $5 - When you submit your ‘Anything Goes’ guild challenge project in our October 2024 Guild Show, you will receive your $5 back. If you don’t complete your challenge project, you will have purchased a lovely fat quarter.

The Rules:

  • ‘Anything Goes’: Create whatever you want – quilts, bags, journals, containers, etc. – the sky’s the limit. Choose any technique, add any embellishments, include any additional fabrics. Quilts must have a hanging sleeve; other items will be displayed on a table.
  • Size/Dimensions: Not to exceed a total circumference of 100 inches.
  • You must use the whole fat quarter, easily identifiable in your project. (no hiding as a backing).

The Submission:

  • Attach a label with your name on it, and then cover it over with pinned or loosely basted fabric.
  • You will fill out a registration form for the ‘Anything Goes’ Guild Challenge. Think about including how you came up with your design, how the fat quarter influenced your project, how you featured the Challenge Fabric, etc.
