June -  Banner and Youth bag talk. Tablecloth signing for newer members. Prizes and games.  Future progams (next year) will be completed member volunteers for each month, coordinated by Megan.

Treasurer

One outstanding cheque has been cancelled. A generic email has been setup for future use.

We Care

38 quilts on hand. Collected 9 from Cozy Cottons (6 from a non-member Janets friend). 14 handed in at the May meeting. Lots of kits available.

Mini Project

June will be a mini zipper pouch. Mini projects will be discontinued for next year.  Likley replaced with a block of the Month hosted by Nancy and a UFO challenge hosted by Beatrice and Karlie.

Fat Quarter

Colour for June will be polka dots.

Workshops

Improv workshop is postponed until Nov, new workshops for signup in May are  ‘Spring is in the Air’ workshop on Sept 16th taught by Carol R and ‘By Annie Catch All Caddy’ workshop taught by Maureen W on Oct 12 & 26.

Library

Audit was successful.  Culled some magazines for the giveaway table.  Will purchase new books for those not returned from before Covid.

We Care

Workshop day has been arranged for April 29 from 10 to 4pm at the Sardis Library, will need extra tables, ask at the meeting for volunteers. 24 kits have been made for the workshop day. 34 quilts handed in at the March meeting, total of 68 on hand. Have lots of children/baby quilts so only need adult quilts made at the time.

April project is a luggage tag. May project is a key cover.

Library

Asking for all books to be returned so an audit can be done. Beatrice arranging for a date at the church to do audit in June.

Reminder to bring your mugs, will collect a few for guests to use and keep them in the bin.

Several quilt tops have been donated to be quilted by volunteers. Workshop day has been arranged for April 29 at the Sardis Library.

Day Retreat

March 11 is the date 930 - 430. 27 members signed up. Beatrice will be doing a quilting demo and there will be a pop-up shop.

Novemeber will be Wanda L presenting on 'Entering Quilt Canada', Carla will present her 5FAV and presentation of the Quilt Show winner prizes.

Presented the totals from the quilt show, discussion of fund allocation.

Membership - Registration

83 members, 16 signed up at the quilt show, 1 returning member.  Chitter Chatter will be donating a prize gift, will add them to the advertising in the newsletter. Need more buddies for the new members.

Quilt Show

Prize winners will be emailed and asked to attend the meeting with their winning quilt.  A few more show reviews still expected.  The show was a huge success, 540 ladies attended.

Advertising

Lyn has checked in to see who will continue advertising in the newsletter.  Those giving prize draws get free ads.

Sunshine

More welcome bags will be made up for our new members.

Workshops

Nov 15 workshop with Nancy (Ruler Work) is a go.  Hoping to have another in February, different topic.

Library

Kim has joined the committee.  Books from the library that did not go to the quilt show will be sold at the meetings.

New Business

Insuracne with CQA has been paid.

Discussion on Mini Skills demo, maybe to start in the spring.

In person Sew Day to be looked into for a spring date.

December Meeting

Fun and games night with prizes. Showing and telling about the challenge quilts.  January will be a zoom speaker.

Presented a revised budget with additional money added to some categories.  Will be presented

October Meeting 

Programs

October will be dedicated to quilt show preparations with a presentation from Janet S on her 'FAV 5'.  Novemeber will be Wanda L presenting on 'Entering Quilt Canada'.

Treasurer

The proposed budget will be sent to the members pre meeting.  This will be voted on at the Oct meeting. Discussion on money and paper trail.

Membership - Registration

A new gift certificate has been added from Quiltnut Creations, the other three will be continuing - Graceland, Carolas, Cozy Cotton.  55 members to date, with 4 returning members and 5 new members.

Bundle/sorting day is set for Oct 12 at 1pm.  Scraps can be brought to the show on the Friday.

Workshops

Nancy R will be offering three workshop if there is enough interest.  The Ruler Work workshop has 12 members sign up, can take 3 more.  This workshop will be held in November, payment is due at the October meeting.  Cost to rent the church is $100. Two others will be offered - Improv and Landscapes.

Library

Replacement books for those missing due to covid non-returns will be bought.

New Business

Cooks Church will be including the Quilt Guild in their featured article in the Progress newspaper.

Programs

All meetings will be held at the church, other than the January and February meetings that will be held via Zoom.  The September meeting will be a trunk show from Nancy R.  October will be dedicated to quilt show preparations.

Treasurer

The budget was presented, adjustments were made.  This will be presented to the members for voting at the Sept meeting.

Membership - Registration

We will be collecting $35 for membership fees.  Payment can be made by via e-transfer, cash or cheque.  Past members not signed up by the end of October will be removed form our list. Checking businesses to provide draw prizes.

We Care

Will be having a sorting day of the 18 bins to colelct fabric to be sold off at the quilt show, this will greatly reduce the amount in storage.  Asking members to no donate any fabric at this time. Once the kits are finished no new ones will be made.  Members will receive only batting and backing for two quilts each for this year.

Advertising

Will make contact with all advertisers to see if they will be continuing with ads in our newsletter.

Mini Project

Halloween potholder will be for September. When theya re delivered to the October meeting they will be kept for display at the quilt show, the swap will happen at the November meeting.
