June Meeting
Programs
June will be a share your other hobby, Elder college speaker Arlene Blanchette(will be asking for beginner class quilt teachers stating up in the fall). Nancy R will be doing a trunk show for the Sept meeting.

We Care
Quilts were delivered to the community to four locations, 5 were held back for the quilt show. All supplies have been moved to be stored at Angela's store. We Care labels can be picked up at the store anytime.
Quilt Show
GVP show is ready to go. 6 volunteers will sell tickets there. Debra is handling all the money transactions for the raffle quilt sales. Will ask for more 2 1/2" square from members to use as giveaways at the show. 30 were handed out at the GVP sale. Not enough volunteers signed up for the Chilliwack Fair ticket sales, so it will be a no go. More than half the slots were filled for the Agassiz Fair, will make a decision about this one in Sept.
Bus Trip
Bus has been booked, will hold 55 members, cost will be $55. 45 members have signed up, covering our bus costs.
Fat Quarter Draw
The colour for June is Pink.
Workshops
16 members have signed up for the Sept 10 workshop. It will be taught by Maureen Wood, held at the Heritage Reform Church. An email will be sent to all participating with payment and other instructions. Cash or cheque can be brought to the June meeting if not using e-transfer.
Old Business
Elections for the June meeting, positions left are the vice president, treasurer mentee, fat quarter draw.
Beatrice checked ort insurance policy, We Care storage at Angela's is covered.
May Meeting
Programs

We Care
10 members showed up for the We Care workshop, everyone won a prize. Angela (Cozy Cottons) is offering her back room for the storge of our We Care supplies, they will be in bins, labeled and moved next month. The We Care committee will hold their work sessions there.
Quilt Show
All committee postions are now filled. The Raffle Quilt tickets have been ordered, pick up next week. Memory sticks were purchased. A signup sheet will be at the May meeting for the GVP, Chwk and Agassiz helpers needed. Will ask for 2 1/2" square from members to use as giveaways at the show. Will ask members for scrap donations for the scrap pool. Raffle tickets will be given ot to members in May to start selling.
Bus Trip
Bus has been booked, will hold 55 members, cost will be $55. 30 members have signed up. A message will be sent to the day guild and maybe to the Hope guild to fill the remaining seats. Alliance church has given okay to use their parking lot south west corner to park our cars for the day.
Make & Take
May will be a postcard swap.
Fat Quarter Draw
Green the colour for May.
Old Business

March Meeting

March 16 meeting is Julie Faulkner via Zoom. April in person meeting will have the SAQA Trunk Show. May will have a Hopsice presentation.

We Care
Mar 19 at the Alliance church will be a Drop Off / Pick Up 930 - 11. The committee will be writing some guidelines to be discussed and viewed at the April Exec meeting. 13 quilt were delivered recently. The day guild has donated a large box of fabric to We Care. A thank you card was received with a donation. Janet will write a thank you note for the money. Workshop is slated for Apr 30, location to still be arranged. New roll of batting will be picked up tomorrow.
Quilt Show
A new list of remaining committee positions will go out in the newsletter. First meeting will be April.
Bus Trip
Karri is looking in to a bus rental to attend CQA in June. A list of interested members is being formed to date there are 29.
New Business
Elections coming in May, let Janet know if you are continuing or stepping down.
This Sept will be the guilds 25th anniversary, start to think of ways to celebrate.
New Chilliwack quilt shop - Cozy Cottons Quilting will be giving us gift certificates to use as draw prizes in exchange for an ad in the newsletter. They also offered their workshp space for We Care at no charge.
April Meeting
Programs
April in person meeting will have the SAQA Trunk Show and a Silent Auction of Kits. May will have a Hopsice presentation.

We Care
40 quilts were collected at the We Care Drop Off day. The workshop day is set for April 30 at Cozt Cottons Quilting, 10 - 3pm. Signup will be at the April meeting (looking for 16 - 18 members).
Quilt Show
First meeting will be April 27 - 7pm via Zoom. Three volunteers are still needed: advertising, decorations, photography.
Bus Trip

Make & Take
April will be a showing of the Snip & Rip. May will be a postcard swap.

Will be emailing for overdue books for non-members. Overdue book list for members will be in the newsletter.

February Meeting
Programs
February meeting will be Feb 9 date, guest speaker is Barb Gilbert. Julie Faulkner is available for a March meeting via Zoom. April in person meeting will have the SAQA Trunk Show.

We Care
86 quilts have been delivered so far since Sept. 30 kits were sent out 20 have been returned. 26 more kits are available. Possible Zoom We Care workshop day in April with prize draws for those attending. Need to purchase another roll of batting, will go to a vote at the Feb meeting for approval. Heart pillows will be made for Sept. Feb 12 at the church will be a Drop Off / Pick Up.
Quilt Show
Committee request list has been sent out in the newsletter. About half the positions are filled already. Confirmed 4 large rentals and 2 small ones for the merchant mall.
January Meeting
Programs
January meeting will be Jan 12 (date moved up a week) via zoom with guest speaker, Gail Sheppard. February meeting will be Feb 9 (date moved up a week) via zoom with guest speaker, Barb Gilbert. Will check to see if Julie Faulkner can do a Zoom presentation and if she is available for a March meeting. Decided to do March also via Zoom. Other suggestions were given for future meetings.
Newsletter
Next reports are due Fri 7 Jan or earlier. This will allow for early distribution pre early January meeting.
We Care
Total of 6 patterns have been designed for the kits. Suggested that images and instructions be placed on the webpage for reference. Jan 12 morning parking lot meeting at the Alliance Church for drop off and pick up of items. Hospice is interesting in doing a short presentation at a future meeting.
Make One Take One
Collecting photos of the Snip & Rip for a webpage, will show them also in the meeting PowerPoint.
Quilt Show
Discussed if we will go ahead with the show or not, decided to make a call in April or May. Lyn will send out Merchant info with a note if it is canceled they will get a full refund of money sent in. Jana has been contacted to do the music program. Discussed the possibility of not having a tea room (church and Covid rules may dictate this).
New Business
Will have a Guild Pop Up Shop (selling donated items to the guild) at the April meeting, to give guild members first opportunity to buy items that would otherwise go to the Quilt Show. Possible participation in the CQA guild banner project. Will look into sewing kits (guild donations to make them up) for flood relief victims.
December Meeting
Programs
December will not have You Tube videos as the screeen has not yet been moved. The program will consist of Snip & Rip activity with a Fat Quarter, Block Lotto, Christmas Show & Tell, Food Bank Donations, and an Ugly Sweater Contest.
Newsletter
Next reports are due Mon Dec 6 or earlier. Asking for Recipes to be sent in for this issue.
We Care
Will be having a sew day to work on childrens quilts.
Make One Take One
A lotto Christmas block will happen for the December meeting.
New Business
Will change the Zoom sew day schedule to include a Friday evening session for those that work. It will be a three week rotation.
November Meeting
Programs
November will be a Sewlympics event, 14 members making 3 teams signed up to participate. The Youth Bags will also be filled at the meeting. December will consist of several short activities and possibly a YouTube video.
Treasurer
An amended budget will be drawn up, presented at the November meeting and voted on.
Membership - Registration
65 members are currently signed up.
Newsletter
Next reports are due Mon Nov 8 or earlier. A new question for the members will be posed.
We Care
16 quilts were turned in during the Oct meeting. There are 30 quilts on reserve now, aiming for 36. Once that is met deliveries will begin to the community again.
Library
Emails have been sent to non returning members who still have library books out. New books have been processed and will be available at the November meeting.
Advertising
Info will be sent out to find vendors for the Oct quilt show.
Make One Take One
A bookmark swap for the November meeting will take place. A lotto Christmas block will happen for the December meeting.
Workshops
Melissa - '9 Ways to Quilt as you go', 23 have paid.
New Business
A resquest was put in to the Church to have the screen moved to it can be used for projections.
The location for the 2022 Quilt Show has been booked.
Exec Meetings 2021 - 2022
October Meeting
Programs
Decided we will continue with the October meeting at the church. October will host the auction continuation, Lyn will be the auctioneer. November will be a Sewlympics event, sign up will happen at the October meeting.
Treasurer
Donations from people who receive a We Care quilt will go directly to the We Care account. Collection from the Park meeting will be forwarded to Gwynne Vaughn society. Extra collected from our Park meetings will go to the We Care account.
Membership - Registration
Carola will be continuing with the draw prizes. 50 members signed up so far. 7 of those are new members.
Newsletter
Next reports are due Mon Oct 11 or earlier.
We Care
16 quilts were turned in during the Sept meeting. The committee has met and done some sorting and organizing. A roll of batting has been purchased. Agreed that the committee will purchase repalcement blades from the We Care funds.
Library
List of outstanding books will be posted in the newsletter again for October. At the October meeting all the new magazines will be available for loan.
Advertising
There are currently 7 advertizers for the newsletter.
Make One Take One
Ugly fabric swap will be returned at the October meeting. Halloween 'Lotto' will take place at the October meeting. Announce a bookmark swap for the November meeting.
Workshops
Melissa - '9 Ways to Quilt as you go', 17 members have signed up, 12 have paid so far.
New Business
Insurance and CQA membership has been renewed. Post office box has been cancelled.
August Meeting
Programs
Future meetings will be held at the church, other than the January and February meetings that will be held via Zoom. The September meeting will be a visit session along with: Show & Tell, We Care, Make & Take. October will host the auction continuation.
Treasurer
The budget was presented, adjustments were made. A donation of $600 was made to We Care. A donation of $50 from Lindell Beach Community was made.
Membership - Registration
We will be collecting $35 for membership fees. Payment can be made by via e-transfer, cash or cheque. Past members not signed up by the end of October will be removed form our list. Checking on Grace and Carola for draw prizes.

We Care
Will be holding back a reserve of a few quilts for emergency needs (eg: fire relief).
Library
No new books will be purchased this year. Hoping that all borrowed books will be returned at the Setpember meeting.

Will make contact with all advertisers to see if they will be continuing with ads in our newsletter.

The post office box will be cancelled, will be using a members address for mailing.
